International Women’s Day:Imo First Family Receives Police IG’s Wife

In marking the International Women’s Day, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in the company of his wife, Her Excellency Wife, Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma and the Deputy Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Prof. Placid Njoku and his wife, received in audience, the Wife of the Inspector General of Police & President of Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba, and her entourage.

In his address, Governor Hope Uzodimma commended Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba for her husband galant and intelligent support to Imo State during the insecurity crises.

The Governor further offered the Administration’s hand of support to the Police Wives Association (POWA) in the areas of Healthcare and Education especially skill acquisition, added that support rendered to Police Officers Wives is support in extension to force men.

“I once again offer the assurances of my administration’s support to POWA in all its endeavors, as we continue to collaborate and collectively work towards building a better society, ending all forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) everywhere they may exist in our society.” Gov. Uzodimma stated.
