The Chairman, Global Prolife Alliance, GPA, Prof (Dr) Philip Njemanze, has raised an alarm on the dangers of the Maputo Protocols in Nigeria.

In a statement in Owerri, Njemanze, a neuroscientist, in his summary said the Constitution domesticates Maputo Protocol in Nigeria.

Njemanze stated that “the Nigerian Constitutional Domestication of Maputo Protocol on Gender Equality was drawn from the Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on the Right of Women in Africa, popularly known as the Maputo Protocol.

According to him, while proponents of the Maputo Protocol urge that it would help prevent female genital mutilation (FGM) in Africa, however out of the 23 pages, it mentioned FGM in only one sentence.

“Rather, large sections of the Protocol are devoted to the central desires of its drafters that include pro-abortion international organizations funded by the biotechnology firms owned by wealthy investors – Western Billionaire ‘Philanthropocapitalists’.

Njemanze further listed articles of the Maputo Protocol, which according to him include “Legalizing Abortion all through 9 months of pregnancy.

He further stated that “Maputo Protocol Legalizes Poaching of Ovarian Eggs from Poor Nigerian Women for the Western Tissue & Organ Cloning Industry worth 30 Trillion US Dollars, leading to Deaths of Ten million Nigerian Women.

“Maputo Protocol Bans Teaching of Holy Bible and Holy Koran in Schools and Public Places.

“Maputo Protocol eliminates the African Family Motherhood.

“Maputo Protocol Legalizes Female Catholic and Anglican Priesthood.

“Maputo Protocol Legalizes Female Sultanship, Emirship and Ezeship.

“Maputo Protocol to be Used for International Criminal Court (ICC) Blackmail of African Leaders.

“Maputo Protocol Changes African Worldview.

“Maputo Protocol Attacks Freedom of the Press.

“Maputo Protocol Ends Freedom of Religion.
