Unknown gunmen have set ablaze Umuguma Police Station, located in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
It was unclear if there were casualties during the attack.
Residents in the area said the gunmen attacked the Station in the early hours of Saturday at about 3am.
Reports say the attackers overwhelmed the security operatives during the operation which left cars and properties destroyed.
