‘Land Grabbing Unacceptable’- Uzodimma Demands Due Process In Acquiring Lands In Imo

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has said he will not tolerate illegal land grabbing in the state.

Speaking at Government House Chapel, Owerri, Sunday, the Governor said there must be Due process in acquiring lands and properties in the State.

“Federal Government or any other agency cannot and will not allocate lands in the State” he told the congregation.

He added that since his emergence as State Governor, he has not allocated any land to himself or anyone, warning against acquisition of lands without clearing with the State Ministry of Lands.

The Governor further disclosed that even the communities have no power to allocate lands and properties to anyone especially those who claim to have MoU with the Communities.
