Uzodimma Preaches Peace, Joins Igbo Leaders To Honour Ohaneze President, Obizor

Governor Hope Uzodimma, Sunday, joined other Igbo leaders to show solidarity to George Obiozor, President General, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo.

Obiozor’s country home was set ablaze recently by unknown persons on March 19, 2022.

Governor Uzodimma said dialogue is the vehicle that would lead Igbos to its desired destination, saying violence and self destruction has never made any race great.

 “Igbos are pan Nigeria. The huge investments of Igbos in all the States in Nigeria even in the far North shows a people that have an unwavering faith in this nation.

“All What Igbos seek is justice, equity and fairness” he told Igbo leaders.

He called on well meaning Igbo leaders and the youths to “think, together, plan together and pursue the cause of justice for Igbos in Nigeria”

Governor Uzodimma also appealed to all patriots in the country to help wipe the historical tears of the South East.  

The reception was well attended by prominent Igbo sons and daughters from the five States that comprise South East.

They include: two former Senate Presidents – Anyim Pius Anyim and Adolphus Wabara, former Foreign Affairs Minister and one time Military Administrator of old Imo State, Sen. IOS Nwachukwu,  former Governor Ikedi Ohakim of Imo State, Obi of Onitsha, HRM Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, Eze Imo, HEM Eze EC Okeke,  two former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide- Nnia Nwodo and Gary Igariwey, Chief Eng. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, former INEC chairman, Prof Maurice Iwu,  the Anglican Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Bishop David Onuoha, Prof ABC Nwosu, Lady Victoria Akanwa, among numerous others from the political, business, religious and traditional class.
