Lingering Projects: Imo State Govt Partners NDDC

The Imo State Government will partner with the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, via a Memorandum Of Understanding, MOU, to take over the rehabilitation of lingering road projects in the State

Governor Hope Uzodimma,who received the NDDC team led by Dr. Effiong Akwa, at Government House, Owerri, said the partnership is geared towards providing a long lasting solution to the completion of lingering projects in the State which suffered neglect due to insecurity, youth restiveness.

He said a joint team of engineers from the State and the NDDC will now monitor the projects.

In his remarks earlier, Dr. Effiong commended Governor Uzodimma for taking bold steps towards realizing the development of the State.

He said the essence of the partnership between the NDDC and the State government, is to hasten the completion of road projects in the State such as Etekwuru/Avu road and other projects beneficial to the people of the State.
