Imo, Rivers States Lead Number Of Presidential Aspirants

Imo and Rivers States have highest number of presidential aspirants in the race to the 2023 presidency.

Both States do have two presidential aspirants each.

Rivers State have the duo of Governor Nyesom Wike and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Wike is aspiring for the presidency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, while Amaechi is seeking the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

From Imo State, Minister of State, Education, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, was the first to pick the APC Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms.

Former Governor of the State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, who represents Imo West Senatorial zone, also picked the APC forms

There are more than 25 presidential aspirants which cuts across the APC and the PDP.
