Few days after the home of a Commissioner in Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration Ford Ozurumba was attacked by unknown gunmen, Orsu Local Government Area headquarters was razed down by unknown persons on Sunday.
Several buildings, the administrative block, vehicles parked in the premises of the LGA headquarters were set ablaze.
Not spared by the arsonists include the Chairman’s office, including the statute of a Nigerian Soldier in front of the Council headquarters.
An eye witness, who craved anonymity, said the incident took place around 2.30am and might be the handiwork of those troubling the South East in recent months, stating that the video of the burning council had also appeared on facebook.
