A philanthropist and renowned industrialist, Prince Alex Mbata (PAM), has pledged to give the people of Owerri Senatorial Zone, fair and sound representation, if given the mandate to become their Senator in 2023.
Mbata, popularly called PAM made the pledge on Friday, when he visited Aboh Mbaise and Ngor-Okpala local Government Areas of Imo State, in continuation of his consultations with leaders, chieftains and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the areas.
The meetings and consultations took place at Ngor-Okpala APC Secretariat, Umuneke, TOE Ekechi’s country home, Imerienwe, Ngor-Okpala LGA, High Chief Chizitere Njoku’s home and the LGA Headquarters of Aboh Mbaise.
Assuring the people that he will not disappoint them if he makes it to the Red Chambers of the Senate, Mbata, who is seeking the ticket of the APC for Owerri zone Senatorial seat, appealed to party chieftains to give him maximum support to make it easier for him to fly victoriously.
Mbata said “I pledge not to disappoint Aboh Mbaise and Ngor-Okpala LGA and the entire people of Owerri Senatorial District when I get to the Senate in 2023.
“I’m glad for the warm reception and I’m looking for political power to cause a positive change and I have the requisite experience to lead you better at the Senate.
“I will intensify empowerment and goodwill. I shall create admissible avenues that can encourage productivity.
“I’m going to the Senate with a clear difference to do exploits with a view to strengthening good living and comfort”.
“I’m a man of honour and I will not fail Owerri Zone. You shall get what you deserve”. he assured.
Reiterating that he is a man of honor, he said “I’m light, I represent light and I will continue to affect your lives more positively.
“We believe in doing, not in talking. God has been with us and we will always soar higher. By the special grace of God, we will win because we are formidably positioned and financially loaded with laudable humanitarian mission and vision for our people” he said.
TOE Ekechi, apex APC leader at Ngor-Okpala, in his response, pledged undiluted support for Mbata, vowing that he is the most qualified and cherished aspirant for the Senate Seat.
“I’m hopeful that Alex Mbata will win the Owerri Zone Senate because he has good heart, a good man”. Ekechi noted.
In his remarks, Chief Christogonus Okere (Agarahurugbuokuku) and party chieftains promised their total support for the business mogul.
“The people of Aboh Mbaise are solidly with Mbata and we promise to support you in all ramifications to enable you go to the Senate. Having empowered the women and the youth single-handedly, we believe you will do more at the Senate in 2023” Okere said.
In their separate remarks, Director General and Chairman, PAM Campaign Council, Rt. Hon. Dikeocha Godfrey and Chief Henry Njoku (Harritex) described Prince Mbata as a man with the heart of gold, assuring that he would give Owerri Zone better representation at the Senate in 2023.
