2023: Group Tells South East Presidential Aspirants In APC, PDP What To Do

South East Presidential aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressives  Congress, APC have been advised to opt for consensus aspirant amongst them.

There are more than ten Presidential aspirants in the South East jostling for the presidential tickets of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In the APC, they are Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Hon Emeka Nwajiuba, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Senator Ken Nnamani, Barr Mrs Uju Ken Ohanenye and Chief Ike Obasi Mokelu.

In the PDP, the Igbo aspirants are Dr. Peter Obi, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Mao Ohuabunwa

In a statement, the President, Ohaneze Youth Council, OYC, Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka, commended presidential aspirants of the APC for agreeing to work together and appealed to them to make more efforts and come up with a consensus aspirant. He also advised the PDP to do the same.

He called on the leadership of the APC and PDP “ to as a matter of national concern support aspirants of political parties  from the South East zone to fly their tickets as this would mean a lot for Ndi Igbo”

“The Southern Nigeria made up of the South East, South South and South West, it is only the South East that has not had the opportunity to produce the President of Nigeria and this accounts for the separatists movements and agitations you see everywhere in the South East” part of the statement read
