Aggrieved aspirants and members who lost out in the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have been advised to desist from de marketing the image of those who emerged candidates of the party in the just concluded Primaries.
The directive was contained in a statement signed by the APC State Vice Chairman for Owerri zone, Chief Justus Ogu JP .
He said the party has observed that some members of the APC in Owerri Zone have continued to attack the persons and intergrity of the party’s candidates in the just concluded Primaries, despite their return as elected flag-bearers of the Party.
The statement reads:
“It has come to my notice that some members of our great party, the APC in Owerri Zone have continued to attack the persons and integrity of our candidates in the just concluded primaries, despite their return as elected flag bearers of our party for the different positions!
“I wish to state & caution all such members to desist forthwith from such anti party comments of trying to de market our party’s flag bearers.
“The primaries have been concluded and these candidates are now part of the official image of our party! Any one that still has a grouse or complaint over the conduct or emergence of any of our candidates should do so through official party channel, the Appeal panel that are sitting over any such complaints!
“And this will be attended to promptly by the different panels!
“Outside this channel,no member of the party is allowed to attack any of our party candidates on WhatsApp,other social media platforms and / or public fora as doing so amounts to an anti party activity that may leave our party with no other choice but to take disciplinary steps to stop such anti party activities!
“I therefore plead with our teeming members to desist from such actions that may bring our party and candidates to disrepute!
