Tinubu ‘Outfoxed’ Powerful Forces To Emerge APC Presidential Candidate- Analyst

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential candidate, “outfoxed” powerful forces who opposed his presidential aspiration.

A Political analyst, Mr. Uche Emenike, who spoke in Owerrri, said Tinubu’s  doggedness, determination, tenacity, strong political alliance across the country and “investment’ in his political foot-soldiers over the years, were cumulative factors, which aided the former Lagos State Governor to emerge the presidential candidate of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said Tinubu won the APC presidential primary because he did not only ‘outsmart’ other aspirants, but because he posses the political firepower to overtake his co-contenders

“Tinubu has invested in people for many years. He has built men and women. He has die hard loyalists across the country who are ever ready to do his bidding. It took him more than 25 years to achieve this feat.

“He appears to be the most experienced among his co contestants and this clearly showed how he even defeated powerful forces who did not want him to be the presidential candidate of the APC.

“He knew from the onset that he was not the chosen one, but through sheer political dexterity and tenacity, he was able to overcome those forces by applying foxy political strategies.

Emenike said political leaders in the South East should emulate the political philosophy of the former Lagos State Governor and begin to build strategic alliances.

“Here in the South East, our leaders invest in themselves and members of their family. Tinubu built alliances beyond Yorub- land and you can see how all that played out in his favour at the APC Presidential convention” he said.

Tinubu won the APC Presidential primary held at Eagles Square, Abuja, where he polled 1271 votes to emerge the winner.
