*Issues 72 Hours Ultimatum To South East APC, PDP Delegates To Leave Igboland*

The Ohaneze Youth Council, OYC, has revealed those it claimed, worked against the interest of the South East in the just concluded Presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

It issued a 72 hours ultimatum to the delegates who compromised, to leave Igboland.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, had emerged presidential candidates of the PDP and APC, at the presidential primaries of the two major parties.

In a statement signed by National President of the group, Comrade Igboayaka Igboayaka, the OYC blamed some PDP and APC delegates who participated in the presidential primaries of undermining the chances of the South East to produce the presidential flagbearers of the two parties.

It also fingered some top politicians in the zone for aiding and abetting the loss of the presidential ticket of the APC and the PDP by the South East.

The group however excluded “14 PDP delegates from Ebonyi State, 38 APC Delegates from Ebonyi and one APC delegate that came from Imo State by Prof Chinwe Obaji”

“We therefore give PDP and APC delegates in 2022 presidential, apart from 14 PDP delegates from Ebonyi, 38 APC delegates from Ebonyi and one APC delegate vote that came from Imo State voted by Prof. Chinwe Obaji all the others should vacate from Igbo land with 72 hours” OYC warned.

Igboayaka lamented how the delegates from the South East “sold the future of their children and unborn generation in the course of the recently concluded primary elections of the leading parties in the country”

“It is a clear betrayal and historical sabotage for delegates whom we assigned to go and vote Southeast aspirants, went to Eagle Square Abuja and sold the future our children. This is a typical breach of trust and they have shown that they can’t be trusted with leadership mandate in Igbo Land.

The OYC also alleged that some Igbo politicians sold out to Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu
