After Losing Primary In PDP, Araraume Joins Labour Party

Ifeanyi Araraume Jnr, son of Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, has reportedly crossed over to the Labour party, barely a month after he lost the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Okigwe Senate primary, to Emmanuel Okewulonu.

At the primary election held on Thursday, May 26, Araraume Jnr polled 61 votes to lose the PDP Okigwe zone senatorial ticket to Okewulonu, who got 132 votes.

Araraume, a former Commissioner in Rochas Okorocha’s administration, aside crossing over to the PDP, is also said to have emerged the Labour party senatorial candidate in Okigwe zone.

A facebook user, Achilike Darlington Onyeike, confirmed Araraume’s move to Labour party.

He posted on his facebook wall “Ifeanyi Araraume Junior emerged senatorial candidate of Labour party”, with photographs of Araraume flanked with suspected chieftains of the Labour party.
