Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, never consulted him before he left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Atiku who spoke on Arise Tv on Friday, said he did not miss the former Anambra State Governor’s exit from the party.

Peter Obi was Atiku’s Running Mate in the 2019 presidential election on the platform of the PDP.

Obi had resigned his membership of the PDP, barely a month to the 2023 presidential primary of the PDP.

Obi after his exit from the PDP emerged Labour Party Presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

“Peter Obi never consulted me before he left the PDP. He only told me about it three days after he left the party and joined the Labour Party” Atiku said.

Atiku also said that he never rejected the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, as his Running Mate.

“Rejection is a strong word to use. I never rejected Wike.

“He is a very courageous person who has a bright future in the political evolution of the country

“The Committee recommended three names to me. There was no voting. And out of the three nominees, I choose one of them”he said
