A non-indigenous group residing in Owerri zone and its environs, known as Ndito Akwa Ibom Progressive Forum (NAIPF) says, it is mobilizing support for the All Progressives Congress, APC Senatorial Candidate for Owerri Zone, Prince Alex Mbata.
The group which rose from it’s executive meeting in Owerri recently in a release in Owerri signed by its President, Effiong Eugene Joseph and Secretary, Essien Emmanuel Peters and made available to newsmen, affirmed their explicit confidence in the ability of Prince Alex Mbata to represent the zone adequately at the National Assembly.
The group expressed their confidence on the APC Owerri Zone senatorial flagbearer and revealed that they are reaching out to more than 3000 of their indigenes resident in the zone and beyond to ensure they posses Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs.
The leadership of the forum urged their people resident in the zone to queue behind Prince Alex Mbata and the APC, “because Mbata has distinguished himself to be reliable, trustworthy, astute in character and accomplishment”
“Prince Mbata has an enviable track record and achievement and his wealth of experience will come to play at the Red Chambers when elected” part of the statement stated.
“We, Ndito Akwa Ibom Progressive Forum (NAIPF) after our quarterly executive meeting resolved to give our support to Prince Alex Mbata, in his quest to represent the good people of Owerri Zone at the National Assembly.
“We are encouraging our people to come and get their PVCs to enable us give our support to Prince Alex Mbata of the APC. We are by this resolution reached today on behalf of over 3000 Akwa Ibom/Cross River indigenes residing in Owerri and beyond to ensure they participate in the INEC registration/revalidation exercise”.the group stated.
The group promised to formally and publicly endorse the APC Owerri zone candidate soon.
