…Charges them to be true ambassadors of the shared prosperity administration
In fulfilment of his avowed article of faith as a true democrat who believes in the supremacy of the party, Hon. Dr. Theodore Okwu Ejike Ekechi, the Federal Commissioner representing South East in the board of the North East Development Commission, NEDC, has charged members of the party in the zone to be true ambassadors of the shared prosperity administration in the state.
Ekechi made this admonition on Sunday July 31, 2022, in his Umuoye Imerienwe country home, while playing host to the State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Owerri zone.
Ekechi, while welcoming the officers of the party, expressed his confidence in the leadership of the party in the zone, and further urged them not to relent in their effort to bring every progressive Owerri zone men and women under the banner of the shared prosperity board of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
He further emphasized the need to build internal cohesion and harmony among members of the party, while challenging the leadership of the party to articulate a policy framework that would help the party to take advantage of the infrastructural strides of the APC- led administration in the state ahead the forthcoming general elections.
Earlier in his address, the leader of the delegation and zonal chairman, Owerri, Chief Justus Ogu, JP, thanked the host for finding time out of his tight private and official schedules to receive the party.
According to him “This visit is not only strategic, timely but also a deliberate step by members of the State Executive Committee of our party, Owerri zone, to interact and interface with critical stakeholders and apex leaders of our party across the zone.
“This move became expedient following the outcome of the just concluded party primaries and the need to rally all relevant stakeholders of the party on one page, in order to set out party on a winning mode ahead of the elections. You can agree with us that the unity of our resourceful leaders remains a sine que non to our much desired victory.”
“Today, while we celebrate the numerous infrastructural strides of the shared prosperity administration of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, we consider it appropriate to go out of our way to reach to prominent leaders like you on how best to leverage on our strength and advantage to win the coming general elections”
The zonal chairman however called on Dr. Ekechi to use his position to mobilize and galvanize other stakeholders of the party in Ngor Okpala ahead of the proposed zonal ward tours scheduled to commence middle of the month.
