Gunmen Overrun Police Station In Imo, Kill Four Officers, Set Vehicles Ablaze

Gunmen on Friday night, attacked the Agwa Divisional Police headquarters in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

Reports say the gunmen came around 11pm with a tipper vehicle and two sienna vehicles and started shooting sporadically.

Four officers were reportedly killed. Two of the officers who lost their lives were female and were burnt to death.

Vehicles in the police station were also set ablaze. A motorcycle rider was also reported have been killed by the assailants.

The development comes less than a week gunmen attacked Orogwe community in Owerri West LGA, killing seven people.
