Imo State Govt Takes Possession Of Standard Shoes Company

The Imo State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has taken possession of Imo Standard Shoes.

The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Simon Ebegbulam took charge of the company on behalf of the State Government from RHODS, a security consultant.

Recall that Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma had recovered the Standard Shoes Industry from the Asset Management Corporation of Nigerian (AMCON).

Speaking after the signing of the official documents, the Commissioner stated that the ceremony marks another landmark achievement of the Uzodimma administration. He stated that the recovery of the Shoe industry will boost job creation and industrial base of the State. 

He lauded Governor Uzodimma for courageously paying off the debts of the Shoe Industry and  ensure that it comes back on board.

The CEO of RHODS Security Consultant, Commodore Ogechi Osuagwu (RTD.) stated that the company, a security arm of AMCON, had over the period, secured the premises, and following the recovery of the factory by Imo State Government from AMCON, he has officially handed over the keys and premises to the Commissioner thus withdrawing their services.
