Hike In Flight Fares Reduce Passengers At Sam Mbakwe Airport

The persistent rise in flight fares has reduced the number of passengers from several airports across the country.

Pictures surfaced online how passengers has drastically reduced at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.

In the past one month, airline operators have continued to lament over increasing cost of aviation fuel, which significantly contributed to the steady rise in flight fares.

It was observed that airfares from Owerri to Abuja cost between N75,000 to N100,000 and similar price also goes for Owerri- Lagos route.

A Facebook user, Iheanyi Enwerem had posted pictures of the gallery of the airport which revealed scanty passengers.
