Anti Uzodimma Jingle: Radio Station DG, Others Face Sack

0

There is fire on the mountain in Imo State government owned Imo Broadcasting Corporation, IBC, Owerri, after studio managers mistakenly aired a derogatory song about Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

It was unclear why the radio station funded and owned by the state government would play such a derogatory tract about the State Governor. But sources at the radio station said it was a costly mistake as the technical director on duty in a bid to avoid dead air, mistakenly played the track oblivious of it’s content, which described the Governor with uncomplimentary remarks.

Reports reaching this newspaper indicate that the acting DG and the technical officer have been issued administrative queries by relevant authorities.

Their fate is also said to be hanging in the balance after the State Commissioner of Information, Declan Emelumba and the Permanent Secretary, Barr (Mrs) Obiageli Amadiobi, and others reportedly arrived the premises of the radio station to ascertain how the derogatory music found its way on the airwaves of the radio station.
