*Uzodimma, Wife, eminent Imolites grace event*
Business mogul and popular philanthropist, Prince Alex Mbata (PAM), Saturday, hosted women across the nine local governments in Owerri zone to a mega August meeting held at the Ndubuisi Kanu Square, Owerri.
The event was attended by over 5,000 women who came from various walks of life to witness the event.
Mbata, Imo East APC Senatorial candidate, in his short remarks at the event, urged women of Owerri zone to remain steadfast and continue to support the 3R administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
“I m delighted with the massive turn out of our women for this year’s August meeting. The happiness of our mothers and women are paramount to me. I urge you all to continue to support this administration at all times” he said.
In her remarks, the wife of the Governor, Barr (Mrs) Chioma Uzodimma, commended Prince Mbata for hosting women of the zone for this year’s August meeting, urging him not to relent.
She announced a cash gift to the women and other items as part of her contribution to the success of the August meeting.
A former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Dr (Mrs) Ada Okwuonu, called on the people of the zone to continue to support Prince Mbata, whom he described as the man of the people, and who has in his private capacity has not relented in her continued support for women of the zone.
The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mac Donald Ebere, showered encomiums on Prince Mbata, stating that at all times, he has continued to show support in empowering the people of the zone.
“I remain confident that with Prince Alex Mbata, our party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, would comfortably win the next elections in the state with a man such as Prince Mbata as our senatorial candidate in Owerri zone. This is not the first time he is hosting a big event of this magnitude.
Other dignitaries who attended the event include Governor Hope Uzodimma, his deputy, Placid Njoku, Senator Osita Izunaso, the APC Imo West Senatorial candidate, traditional rulers, the nine Sole Administrators in Owerri zone,
