Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of Imo State, has debunked media reports that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, appointed him the coordinator, of its presidential campaign in the South East.
“His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, is certainly not the Coordinator of the Southeast” a statement in Owerri signed by his media aide, Mr. Chibuike Onyeukwu stated.
“Ihedioha was only asked to speak for the South East at the inaugural meeting of the PDP presidential campaign Council which was held few days ago in Abuja”
“His interest, attention and focus is to put Imo PDP together with a view to harnessing its resources for the upcoming elections’ the terse statement concluded.
