Emeka Nduka, Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, has said only a legislator who understands a fellow legislator, would go the extra mile to commit huge resources in rebuilding the State Assembly Complex.

Recall that Governor Hope Uzodimma, had rebuilt the dilipidated Imo Assembly Complex after many years of neglect and abandonment.

Uzodimma before his emergence as Governor of Imo State was a Senator who had represented Imo West Senatorial zone in the red Chamber of the Nigerian Senate.

Speaking on behalf of other lawmakers, he said the overhauling of the complex now offers efficiency, effectiveness and seamless legislative activities.

He said Governor Uzodimma, being an ex legislator, devoted so much resources to rebuilding the complex.

In his remarks, member representing Oguta State Constituency, and Deputy Minority Leader, Barr Frank Ugboma, spoke of his ordeal in the dilipidated Assembly building

“Sincerely, as a legislator, I remember the last time we sat here and the speed with which we evacuated from this place.

“My memory is still at alert to remember the dilipidated nature of the ceiling and the roof close to my office.

“All these have been effectively taken care of, courtesy of Governor Hope Uzodimma and he must be given credit.

Other lawmakers such as Hon Uche Ogbuagu (Ikeduru, Labour Party), Rt Hon Paul Emeziem (Onuimo, APC), and others, spoke eloquently about the Governor’s completion and commissioning of the complex.
