*As Brother In Law, Ololo, Joins LP, Drums Support For Peter Obi*

The Political camp of former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, appears to be in disarray.

Majority of the Senator’s political foot-soldiers have found political refuge in other political parties.

The latest to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, a party Okorocha was among the founding leaders, is his brother in law, Mr. Chuks Ololo.

Ololo on Sunday announced his decision to join the Labour party.

Ololo is husband to Okorocha’s sister, Ogechi, whom the former Governor had appointed Commissioner for Happiness.

He said his decision to join the Labour party was to join forces with LP to salvage the country through the vision of Mr. Peter Obi, the LP Presidential candidate.

Before now, some of Okorocha’s key loyalists and members of his Rescue Mission Political family, had either joined the political camp of Governor Hope Uzodimma known as Camp Hope, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, or the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

His son in law, Uche Nwosu, had vied for 2019 Imo governorship election on the platform of the Action Alliance, AA, placing a distant second in the guber polls, won by Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Other political henchmen of the former governor, who have since dumped the APC, include three members of the House of Representatives, Hon Ugonna Ozuruigbo, Hon Paschal Obi and Hon Kingsley Uju.

The trio had defected to the PDP, where they have emerged candidates for the Reps seat of their various Federal Constituencies.

Hon Chike Okafor, a two time Commissioner of Finance during Okorocha’s government and one of the ex governor’s political sons, had since switched allegiance to Governor Hope Uzodimma’s Camp Hope political fraternity.

Another Okorocha’s ally, a former Majority Leader of Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Lugard Osuji, is seeking a return to the State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

However, sources in the ex governor’s camp said his political allies are free and at liberty to advance their political careers on any political platform of their choice.

“The ex Governor is not a dictator. A good father does not hold his children hostage. He rather allows them to be free and express themselves.

“It is wrong to say his camp is in disarray because a child never forgets his roots” said one of the ex governor’s allies who spoke on condition of anonymity.
