Civil Servants Get Promotion In Imo, As Uzodimma Swears In Two New Commissioners

Governor Hope Uzodimma, has approved the promotion of civil servants in the State.

Declan Emelumba, State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, who spoke to newsmen at the close of the State Executive Council Meeting, in Owerri, said the promotion is with immediate effect.

He recalled that Governor Uzodimma had promised civil servants promotion, when he announced the Health Insurance Policy for Imo workers.

He noted that the Governor graciously approved the promotions of civil and public servants to clear the arrears/backlog that have been in existence since 8-10 years.

He said Sit At Home on Mondays no longer exist in the State, directing all courts in the State to resume sitting on Mondays and all government establishments should open their services to workers.

He announced that before the Exco meeting, the governor had sworn two new Commissioners.
