The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC), has announced that Imo State will experience a planned outage from Friday, 4th to Tuesday, 8th November 2022.

The power distribution company said the exercise was to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) crew carry out maintenance on Alaoji-Owerri lines 1 & 2.

This development was disclosed on Friday evening in a statement signed by Emeka Ezeh, the Head Corporate Communication.

The statement while regretting the inconveniences the planned outage will cause its esteemed customers, said the exercise is geared towards improved and quality electricity supply.

The statement read: “The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) wishes to inform her esteemed customers in Imo State of a planned outage on Alaoji-Owerri lines 1 & 2, scheduled to take place from Friday 4th to Tuesday 8th November, 2022, from 9am to 3pm. This is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) crew carry out maintenance on the mentioned lines.

“As a result of this development, all 33KV feeders in the state, namely: Airport, Owerri 3, Oguta, Orlu, New Owerri, Mbaise, Okigwe and Alex feeders will be on zero supply during the period of the maintenance.

“The exercise is geared towards improved and quality electricity supply, and arrangements have been made to restore supply to customers each day, after the day’s maintenance.

“We sincerely regret the inconveniences this will cause our esteemed customers, and assure them of our commitment towards delivering improved services.”
