The Inter party Advisory Committee, IPAC, Imo State chapter, on Wednesday, slammed some of its members, operating under the guise of G-12, revealing how the factional group wanted Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration to be condemned for no reason
The IPAC leadership stated that the group is against the laid down rules and principles of the organization, by setting up a parallel Body and parading themselves as the leadership of IPAC in Imo State
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, IPAC Chairman, Ichie Levi Eke, revealed that the G12 members decided to kick against the leadership of IPAC, when it turned down their request to use the Body as an instrument to fight the Uzodimma administration.
He said he opposed their moves on the basis that the present government has not done anything wrong to be condemned, stating that IPAC are not surprised by their actions because they strongly believe they are sponsored.
“Their grievances is that we refused to adhere to their cravings for us to use the instrumentality of IPAC to fight the sitting government even after we made them to understand that the government has done nothing wrong” he declared.
Reacting to allegations that IPAC opened a bank account to defraud Imolites, the Chairman challenged the group to provide to the public, evidence of who has paid any dime into the said IPAC bank account.
Eke revealed that the G12 members last year, were chosen as Committee Chairmen of Imo IPAC for its intended Summit and were given millions of naira for the execution of the project, “but they eloped with the entire money”
He charged political parties and their candidates to play by the rules of the game, avoid hate speech, and bear in mind that it is God has the final say in giving positions to people at the appointed time.
He also commended Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State on ongoing road construction and rehabilitation in the State and other achievements, urging him not to relent.
