*Supporters Hold Road Walk/Mega Rally For APC Senatorial Candidate In Owerri Municipal

*Ulakwo, Obube, Agballa,  Ahaizu Mbaise LGA, Others pledge support

The Senatorial bid of Prince Alex Mbata (PAM), the Imo East All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, is in full swing, with the business mogul, earning massive support and endorsement from various  communities in Owerri zone ahead of the February 25, 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections.


Mbata, and his campaign team were led on the tour by the Chairman, Prince Alex Mbata Divine Movement (PAMDM), Chief Henry Njoku (Harritex) and the Director General, Rt Hon. Godfrey Dikeocha, and other top party leaders from Owerri zone.


In continuation of his strategic engagement with key stakeholders, Mbata’s campaign train hit Owerri Municipal, Ikeduru, Mbaitoli, Ulakwo in Owerri North and Nnarambia in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA.


In Owerri Municipal, the  streets and major roads of Owerri were overtaken by men, women and youths of various support groups of Mbata, who adorned fez caps, T- shirts, all embedded with the bold image of Mbata, as they marched and danced graciously to the rhythm of campaign jingles and Owerri songs.


Mbata flanked by APC stalwarts of the party, walked and danced along the streets of Owerri such as Wethedral, Tetlow and Okigwe Roads.


The Walk/Mega Rally climaxed at the Imo State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, located at Okigwe Road, Owerri, where Mbata addressed a mammoth crowd of party supporters who were at the State party secretariat to receive him and his entourage.


In his remarks, the State Vice Chairman of the APC (Owerri Zone), Hon Justus Ogu, enumerated the qualities of Prince Mbata, describing him as a man of good conscience, who has invested so much to empower the good people of Owerri zone.


Addressing the tumultuous crowd, Mbata said he is in the race to win, stating that the outpouring of support from party members in Owerri Municipal is eloquent testimony of their support for his aspiration and burning desire to ensure that the party records victory in the forthcoming elections.


“I have come to serve. I have come to make Owerri zone better. I have come to give quality representation to our people and not to deceive them.  Gone are the days of those who have deceived us for long. This is the time for men of goodwill and conscience to lead our people. Together, we liberate Owerri zone” he said.


At Mbaitoli local government area, Mbata was among other APC candidates who received the party’s flag from leader of the party in the State and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.


At Ulakwo/Obibezena/Agballa, known as OAU, the Chairman, PAMDM, Chief Henry Njoku (Harritex) called on the people of the area to vote massively for Mbata and other APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.


He advised them not to be deceived by those who failed in the past and have resorted to campaign of calumny and blackmail.
“Mbata remains a brand. He is credible, upright and honest, and not those who wallow in deceit” he said.

In his remarks, the apex leader of Owerri Zone APC, Prince Lemmy Akakem extolled Prince Mbata, describing him as a man of strong character, committed to the task of enhancing the well being of the good people of Owerri zone.


At Nnarambia in Ahiazu Mbaise, the business mogul cum politician spoke on his plans for Owerri zone, assuring that having done so much to empower the people in his personal capacity, he will certainly do more if elected to the Red Chambers of the Senate.
