In order to strengthen peace, development and enterprise in Ohaji/Egbema through sound education, the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate for Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in Imo Assembly in the 2023 election, High Chief Dr. Uzoma Francis Osuoha (Eze Buguma), has promised to pay WAEC and JAMB registration fees for 10 students from each of the 12 electoral wards in the locality free of charge, if he is voted in.
He made the promise while speaking in Owerri on Tuesday. He maintained that he has been in the vanguard of encouraging youth rejuvenation, empowering women with money to encourage them on trading, strengthening peace, cordiality, progress and economic advancement in Ohaji/Egbema.
Eze Buguma said he decided to encourage the youth of Ohaji/Egbema to achieve quality education because he believes that education is the bedrock of development especially to any society that values, prioritises and invests hugely in it.
The academic giant and business mogul stressed that the encouragement on sound academics he is going to render to the youth of Ohaji/Egbema immediately he is sworn-in as their assembly representative will lessen the burden of parents and guardians in that aspect, assuring that many youths of the area will also be trained on farming, agriculture, ICT, artisanship and trading skills to make them more productive, creators of wealth and labour.
“If I am voted in, every year, I will pay WAEC and JAMB registration fees for 10 students from each of the 12 electoral wards in Ohaji/ Egbema. That is a total of 120 students. This is to encourage them to achieve quality and sound education that will propel them to become useful, create wealth, as well as be employers of labour for enhanced peace, comfort, security, social progress and economic advancement”, Eze Buguma noted.
While restating that his mission for vying for the Imo Assembly Seat was to bring good leadership and democratic dividends to the constituency, Eze Buguma added that he will initiate bills and motions that will compel oil companies operating in Ohaji/Egbema to effectively implement their agreements (GMoU or MoU) on their social corporate responsibilities to the people in order to install full electricity, build solid roads, ultra modern markets, state- of- the-art hospital, sink boreholes, employ youths, as well as place the youth (students) on bursary among others goodies.
He added that the feat when achieved would reduce, poverty, hunger, suffering, hardship crime and violence at the area.
While thanking the people for enduring adversities, Eze Buguma indulged them to look beyond political sentiments and vote for him massively to be able to win the election and consolidate good governance, peace, security at the oil rich region.
