Prince Alex Mbata, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo East Senatorial candidate, is in pole position to win the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections, based on fresh political dynamics, which tilt in his favour.
Across the nine local governments and the 232 communities which make up Owerri zone, Mbata has received overwhelming support which expectedly will translate to victory for him at the polls.
Aside the 232 communities which endorsed Mbata for the senate seat of Owerri zone last week, the business mogul and his campaign team had received standing ovation at some of the local governments visited.
At Ezinihitte Mbaise, thousands of party members thronged the Council headquarters where they announced their undiluted support for Mbata.
State Vice Chairman of the APC, Justus Ogu, drummed support for Mbata, whom he described as the right person for Owerri zone at the Senate.
A former member of the House of Representatives and APC Reps candidate for Ezinihitte and Ahiazu Mbaise, Hon. Ralpheal Nnanna Igbokwe, told teeming party supporters that Mbata has the capacity to lead Owerri zone at the Senate.
He implored the business mogul attract to endeavour to attract a university to Mbaise nation when he is elected to the Red Chambers of the Senate.
“Mbata will bring smiles to the people of Owerri zone, and I want to say here that critical leaders in Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise have taken a decision to support Mbata for Senate
“We have resolved that our people will vote for Mbata because he is one of us” the ex lawmaker declared.
Other APC leaders in Ezinihitte Mbaise such as former Sole Administrator, Larry Chikwe, member representing the area in the State House of Assembly, Sam Otuibe, and others pledged to support Mbata for the Senate race.
At Ikeduru LGA, a tumultuous crowd comprising men, women and youths had stormed the Council headquarters at Iho, where they received Mbata amidst 21 gunshots salute.
Engr Akarachi Amadi, the APC House of Reps candidate for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru, in his speech, said Mbata is the ideal man to represent Owerri zone at the Senate.
“Mbata at the Senate and myself at the Green Chambers, we will surely bring dividends of democracy to Owerri zone” he said
He called on the good people of Ikeduru to vote massively for all APC candidates at the forthcoming February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
Other party leaders in Ikeduru LGA such as Prince Charles Amadi (Chavon), Sole Administrator, Ikeduru LGA and PAM LGA Co- Coordinator in Ikeduru, Chief Sam Aka, extolled the good qualities and virtues of Mbata, whom they described as a man of good heart.
At Mbaitoli LGA, the reception for Mbata and his team was stunning, as party stalwarts and stakeholders came out in large numbers to receive the business man cum philanthropist at a rally held at Mbaitoli LGA headquarters, Nwaorieubi.
Former All Progressives Congress, APC, Imo State Chairman, Marcellinus Nlemigbo, said Mbata is a man who has already impacted positively on the lives of the good people of Owerri zone through his acts of philanthropy.
“Mbata has proved his mettle and he is known to be a big employer of labour. We should elect him to the Senate because he will give Owerri zone quality representation” he said.
Imo State Commissioner for Lands, Kezie Ogaziechi and Mbaitoli APC House of Assembly candidate, Innocent Ikpamezie, spoke eloquently on the qualities and capacity of Mbata to represent Owerri zone at the Red Chambers of the Senate.
Hon Charles Iwuorie, a Port Harcourt based lawyer and long time ally of Mbata, described the philanthropist as a rare gift to humanity.
“I have known Mbata for over 30 years and I can tell you he is a good man with a good heart” he said.
Chief Henry Njoku, (Harritex), who heads Mbata’s campaign team, PAMDM, said Mbata is a man who has the fear of God and he is the best at the moment to represent Owerri zone at the Senate.
“A good product markets itself. Mbata is a good product and it is very clear that among all those eying the Senate seat, he is rated the best. And the best he is. He is a God fearing man, committed to the development of Owerri zone” he said.
In his response, Mbata assured the good of Ezinihitte Mbaise, that he would attract dividends of democracy to the people of Mbaise.
“With the aid of your son, Igbokwe, whom I believe would be at the House of Reps with me; we shall do a lot for the good people of Mbaise.I will not fail or disappoint the good people of Ezinihitte Mbaise” Mbata stated.
At Ikeduru and Mbaitoli LGAs, Mbata vowed to return to the people after his victory at the senatorial polls, to dialogue w on the way forward.
“I will bring what is due to the people of Owerri zone and I can assure you that I will not disappoint our people” Mbata stated.
At Obibi in Owerri North LGA, Mbata was described as the most qualified to represent Owerri zone.
Apex Leader of the APC in Owerri Zone, Prince Lemmy Akakem, narrated Mbata’s philanthropic activities, which range from donation of N20m to the state government in the fight against Covid 19, construction of roads in some parts of Owerri zone, and empowerment of over 3,000 vulnerable people.
“Mbata is a brand, a man who does not tell lies and one who has the fear of God. Owerri zone shall benefit immensely from his representation” he said.
At Owerri West, top APC leaders such as Majority Leader, Imo State House, Kanayo Onyemaechi, Victor Murako, ex member of the House of Reps, Levi Oguike, Commissioners of Petroleum and Lands, Eugene Opara and Noble Atulegwu, GAS Amadi, and a Special Assistant to the Deputy Senate President, Jennifer Oguzie, testified to Mbata’s ability to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Owerri zone.
Former member, House of Representatives and elder statesman, Hon Levi Oguike, said Mbata has been endorsed by leaders and stakeholders of Owerri West for the senate of Owerri zone.
“What we have gathered here today is an extension of the endorsement of Prince Mbata by the leaders of Owerri West and we stand by that adoption” he recalled.
At a Town Hall meeting held at Orji, Owerri North LGA, Mbata vowed to renovate the Town Hall with modern facilities, in order to provide a conducive atmosphere for the people to converge and have healthy and fruitful deliberations.
At Akwakuma/Amakohia, artisans and traders at a Town Hall meeting promised to ensure overwhelming victory for the APC Imo East Senatorial candidate.
