Tinubu, State Governors To Name Cabinet Within 60 Days As Buhari Signs Amended Bills Into Law

President elect, Bola Tinubu, now has a constitutional time limit of two months (60 days) to name his new cabinet immediately he is sworn into office on May 29

The law is part of 16 constitutional amendment bills signed by President Muhammadu Buhari

This newspaper gathered that the new law also mandates State Governors to do same, after being confirmed by the State House of Assembly.

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Idris Wase, in a statement in Abuja and seen by this newspaper, said other bills signed into law by the President include financial independence for state houses of assemblies and state Judiciary.

Others include bills that seek to remove railway, prison, and electricity from the exclusive legislative list to the concurrent list.
