A Rape Of Democracy- APGA Knocks Imo Assembly Election

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Imo State, has condemned the outcome of the State Assembly elections.

State Chairman of the party, Mr. John Iwuala, described the election as a rape of democracy.

“It’s a rape of democracy. Declarations were not in reflection of what transpired at the booths” he wrote in a short message to INNONEWS on Sunday.

The Imo State of Assembly election was held on Saturday, March 18 in the 27 local governments in the State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winners in 26 Local Governments.

The polls in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government was declared inconclusive by the electoral umpire.
