The National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, has assured party members, especially candidates of the PDP, who took part in the Imo State House of Assembly election, that their mandates will not be stolen.

Anyanwu, in a statement signed by his media aide, Ikenna Onuoha, and made available to INNONEWS on Monday, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, “to declare the authentic results of the March 18, 2023 House of Assembly election which must reflect the realities of how Imo people voted at the poll”

He stated that results obtained from the Polling Units, across the State, shows that  “Imo people voted en- masse for PDP candidates, and cautions against any attempt by anybody to compromise or subvert the Will of the people as expressed at the Polling Units”

He warned that “any attempt to manipulate the process with the intent to release or declare any results other than the authentic figures already obtained from the Polling Units will be firmly resisted by the people of Imo State.

The PDP National Scribe stated  “that the people of the State will not accept a repeat of the provocative and brazen manipulation of results as witnessed in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections” , urging INEC to redeem its image by announcing only authentic results in the House of Assembly election.
