APC’s Victory At State Assembly Election,Seal Of Approval For Uzodimma’s Second Term- FRC Chairman, Muruako

The victory recorded by the governing All Progressives Congress, in the March 18, 2023 State Assembly election, has been described as seal of approval for the second term of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared candidates of the All progressives Congress, as winners of 26 of the 27 seats in the State House of Assembly.

Victor Muruako, a legal practitioner and Chairman, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, FRC, made the declaration when he led top leaders of Owerri West Local Government, to a press conference held at Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Secretariat, Owerri.

Speaking on behalf of the leaders, Muruako, said the outcome of the elections, “remain an unequivocal vote of confidence on the leadership of His Excellency and the All Progressives Congress in Imo State

He said “There could be no clearer affirmation, no louder statement of support than the result posted by candidates of our dear party across the State.

“As a member of the APC, I express both my happiness and my appreciation to His Excellency, Hope Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of  Imo State, for providing, inclusive, strong, focused and result oriented leadership

“The good people of Imo State have given him a seal of approval by aligning with him.

“His Excellency has domesticated the APC in Imo State. The current picture is different from earlier pictures when APC only hung on a weak thread in the South East. With the validation of the good people of Imo State, His Excellency has led the All Progressives Congress, APC, into being a grassroot party in Imo State”

He called on the people of the state “to join the governor in pushing for continuity of progress and purposeful governance of the 3R government of his administration and Renewed Hope for our dear country, Nigeria

Muruako also gave thumps up to the Governor for the benefits which accrued to the people of Owerri West since the inception of his administration.

“For us in Owerri West, the appointment of Owerri West indigenes into positions of government and also his efforts to resolve the FUTO community land issues show how inclusive his government is to all people in Imo State” he said

The former South East Chairman, ALGON, commended the governor “for his efforts to work with the Federal Government to raise Alvan Ikoku College of Education to a level of University College, and his effort to attract a teaching hospital for our own Federal University of Technology (FUTO) in Owerri West, is a legacy his administration has placed on the sands of time, posterity will remember him kindly

“His efforts to revitalize the Imo Rubber Estate at Emeabiam and Obite at Ohaji/Egbema are highly commendable. We should also show support to His Excellency for his resilience in the face of obvious security challenges in the State and encourage him to do more.

Among top leaders of Owerri West present at the media chat include; Eugene Opara, a Professor and Imo State Commissioner of Petroleum, Victor Osigwe, Sole Administrator, Owerri West LGA, Fidel Onyeneke, a Chief, Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Orientation, Bethel Nzimako, former Executive Chairman, Owerri West, Humphrey Umunnakwe, and  Chairman, APC, Owerri West.
