Court Restores Araraume As NNPCL Non Executive Chairman

Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has been restored by a Federal High Court, Abuja, as nom Executive Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited , NNPCL.

Justice Iyang Ekwo voided the sack of the politician and set aside his removal by President Muhammadu Buhari, on the basis that the action of the President was arbitrary, unlawful and illegal.

The Judge, in the suit filed by Arararume awarded  N5bn against Buhari and the NNPCL to be paid to the Imo State born politician as damages for his wrongful sack and disruption of his appointment.
