The Nzuko Owere Adoption Of The Imo State Charter Of Equity: Matters Arising (1)

On Saturday 6th of May, 2023, Nzuko Owere, a sociocultural organization made up of technocrats, business moguls, academia, political leaders(across the political parties), artisans, market men and women, clergy and youths in Owerri Federal constituency, founded in 2013 had an extra ordinary summit at the country home of one of her members and leaders, Chief Jerry Chukwueke to further apprise the historic Imo state charter of equity recently passed and presented to the governor of the state, Sen Hope Uzodimma by the wise and eminent elders of the state.

The Nzuko Owere summit was well attended and the discussions were robust. The one point item was the charter of equity and on hand for fatherly enlightenments was the people’s leader, Prince Lemmy Akakem. From the stable of Prince Akakem and the indepth analysis of Chief Chukwueke, the Nzuko Owere members became more deeply informed about the philosophy and ideals of the charter. Lending their voices, the president of the organization, Hon Dan Ikpeazu, the secretary, Nze James Chinonyerem and the chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chief Fidel Onyeneke, thanked the elders of Imo state for their noble and wise vision which is most necessary for peace, unity and progress of the state.

The icing on the cake was the deep appreciation of the genuine efforts of the state governor in addressing the infrastructural reconstructions in the state with particular emphasis on Owerri Federal Constituency. Most of the great works done and in progress were enumerated in the communique issued at the end of the summit.

Nzuko Owere in awareness of the needs to sustain and consolidate on the great works of the governor, moved and unanimously and unconditionally, adopted the motion for the governor’s reelection for a second term.

The Nzuko Owere summit thanked the leaders of Owerri zone for the unity of purpose and assured them of Nzuko Owere’s readiness to work with the rest of Owerri zone people to achieve the desired results of first, ensuring the reelection of our hardworking governor and second, the ideals of the charter of equity which was based on the sincere need to support what is right and just for the common good of all.
