Ogbor Umuegwu Mpam, Ekwereazu Community in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state witnessed an unprecedented crowd penultimate weekend as the remains of Pa Theophilus Chukwudi Okoro was laid to rest at his compound in the community.
Pa Okoro, the father of Head, Graphics Department of National Newsbreak Newspaper Sopuruchi Chukwudi, died at the age of 85 years.
The Nollywood actors at funeral ceremony included Stanley Dan J, Chris Okorondu, Onyenku and Captain.
Speaking during the funeral church service at the St Silas Anglican church, Mpam, the Parish Priest, Rev Canon Enyinnaya Anosike described Pa Okoro as a devout Christian, a community leader and worthy ambassador of the Anglican Communion.
The cleric reminded all to bear in mind that one day, one will become speechless and one thing that will readily come to mind will be their legacies which they would be remembered for.
Rev. Anosike charged the children of the deceased to be good ambassadors of the family and the Anglican Church and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
In their separate orations, the deceased’s brother, Dr. Francis Okoro and son, Chijioke Chukwudi thanked all those who kept aside their tight schedule to commiserate with the family.
They wished the sympathizers’ journey’s mercies to their respective stations.
Also speaking, another of the deceased’s son and Head Graphics/Entertainment columnist, National Newsbreak Newspaper, Chukwudi Sopuruchi expressed gratitude to the Nollywood actors for commiserating with his family.
