Details Emerge How Gunmen Killed Imo Monarch

The traditional ruler of Nguru Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Eze James Nnamdi, popularly called Mmirioma, has been killed by gunmen.

The gunmen were said to have invaded his palace at about 3pm when he was receiving a guest.

The act caused a stir in the community as people scampered for safety.

Sources said the traditional ruler’s guest was injured as he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

Henry Okoye, Police Spokesperson, was quoted to have said that the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde, has ordered an investigation into the incident.
