Ex Imo PDP Federal Lawmaker, Others Defect To APC

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Jerry Alagbaso, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Alagbaso had represented Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency.

He led other PDP members from his constituency to join the governing party in Imo State.

The decampees were received into the party by the Imo State Deputy Governor, Prof Placid Njoku, who stood in for Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Alagbaso said he and his supporters decided to join the APC because of the remarkable achievements of Governor Hope Uzodimma, and to contribute his quota to the ongoing development in the State.

He vowed that he and his supporters would work for the victory of the governor in the November 11 Imo governorship election.

The State Deputy Governor, Njoku in his speech, said the APC is open to receive many Imolites to join hands with the government to achieve a better Imo State.
