Gunmen on Tuesday, at the Orie Agu axis, Umualumaku, in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, attacked security operatives comprising soldiers, policemen, and some personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
In a video that has gone viral on the internet, the security operatives were burned to death while billows of smoke emitted from the two patrol vans set ablaze by the gunmen.
Details of the attack were sketchy as of press time.
An official statement is being awaited from the Imo State Police Command, Owerri, on the incident.
