Supreme Court To Deliver Final Verdict In Atiku, Obi Petitions Oct 26

The Supreme Court is set to deliver its final judgment on Thursday, October 26, in two surviving petitions, to determine the legality or otherwise of President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the last presidential election.

Two petitions were filed by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his counterpart from the Labour Party (LP), Peter Gregory Obi

Dr. Awemeri Festus Akande, the Director of the Press and Information at the Supreme Court, confirmed this development.

He said to ensure a secure and peaceful environment, comprehensive security measures have been established within and around the court premises.

A 7-man panel of Justices, led by Justice John Inyang Okoro, had concluded the final arguments from the parties’ legal representatives on Monday.
