In the upcoming January transfer window, Chelsea has set their sights on Napoli’s prolific striker, Victor Osimhen, making him their top priority.

The Nigerian forward played a pivotal role in Napoli’s Serie A title victory last season, netting an impressive 31 goals across all competitions.
Despite currently recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in October, Osimhen has continued to display his goal-scoring prowess with six goals in the Serie A this season.
Chelsea is also considering other options to strengthen their attack, including banned Brentford forward Ivan Toney, whose top-flight experience comes at a hefty price tag of around £100m.
Another prospect on their radar is Club Brugge’s 18-year-old sensation, Antonio Nusa, known as one of Europe’s most admired wonderkids. While Toney brings proven experience, Nusa is more of an unknown quantity with just seven career goals but has garnered attention for his talent.
The Blues’ interest in Osimhen is fueled by his outstanding performance as one of Europe’s best players last season.
The 24-year-old has been a subject of Premier League transfer speculations, and he has expressed his admiration for the EPL from his formative years. Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has strategically handled transfer speculations, placing a £150m valuation on Osimhen in the summer. Talks are ongoing to extend his contract at Napoli until 2026, with his current deal set to expire in 2025.
Napoli aims to retain Osimhen’s services at least until the summer, and Chelsea is expected to finalize their January transfer plans in mid-December, according to the Evening Standard.
