Gunmen Kill Pharmacist In Imo, Victim Shot Dead While Chasing Abductors Of Elder Brother

Mr. Henry Ejiogu Ogbuji, a pharmacist based at Owerri plaza, has been reportedly shot by unknown gunmen.

The incident occurred as Henry bravely pursued the abductors of his elder brother, Mr. Sunny Ogbuji.

According to a source, Henry, who resided in Irete, Owerri-West LGA, rushed to the scene upon learning of his brother’s kidnapping, determined to rescue him.

Sadly, his courageous attempt ended in tragedy when he encountered the kidnappers along the Owerri/Onitsha expressway, near Umungada junction.

“It was a devastating sight,” the source recounted. “Henry Ogbuji, fueled by concern for his elder brother, pursued the kidnappers in his car.

“However, upon approaching the criminals, they opened fire indiscriminately, fatally wounding the valiant young pharmacist.”

Eyewitnesses expressed disbelief at Henry’s audacity in confronting armed kidnappers, highlighting the perilous nature of the situation.

Despite his bravery, Henry fell victim to the assailants’ gunfire.

Remarkably, amidst the chaos, Sunny Ogbuji was said to have managed to escape from his captors during the altercation with his younger brother.

Attempts to speak to the Imo State Police spokesman was futile as at press time.
