Amokachi Returns To Super Eagles As Assistant Coach

Daniel Owofen Amokachi, a prolific striker in his playing days, is making a comeback to the Super Eagles as an assistant coach to Finidi George.

This marks his second stint as an assistant coach, having previously served under Stephen Keshi.

Amokachi’s return is a significant boost to the team, given his wealth of experience and expertise.

Last November, Amokachi was among 30 African coaches who attended the CAF A coaching course in Morocco, further honing his skills and knowledge.

His appointment is a testament to his growth and development as a coach.

Finidi George, the head coach, has been granted permission to bring in two assistants from Europe, and Amokachi’s appointment is a strategic move to strengthen the team’s technical bench.

Olatunji Baruwa, a seasoned goalkeeper trainer, will also join the team as part of Finidi’s bcak room staff.
