Resist Blackmail- Group Tells Ohanaeze Ndigbo President, Iwuanyanwu

The Igbo Development and Culture Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, has urged Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, to resist blackmail and continue serving God and humanity.

Professor Frances Ngozi Chukwukere, founder of the group, made the call during a visit to Chief Iwuanyanwu’s office in Owerri, Imo State capital

He said “Don’t relent in your services to God and humanity.

“Your leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo came at the right time when Ndigbo needed a strong personality with national and international influence.”

Professor Chukwukere praised Chief Iwuanyanwu’s tireless efforts in promoting Igbo welfare.

“For over three decades, you have ensured peace, growth, and progress in Ohanaeze Ndigbo and the entire Igbo nation. You have held various strategic positions in Ohanaeze Ndigbo and have tremendously restructured the organization, making many Igbos proud of their heritage.”

The group, comprising personalities from various tertiary institutions, urged Chief Iwuanyanwu to ignore critics and focus on his mission.

He stated “Some people envious of your achievements will always criticize you, but majority of Igbos are happy with your activities. Don’t relent, as God sees what you are doing for your people.”

Responding, Chief Iwuanyanwu commended the group for their surprise visit and solidarity,

“I won’t relent in ensuring the development of Igboland. My primary duty is to serve Ndigbo, and I will continue to do so.”Iwuanyanwu stated.
