Lady Arrested In Imo For Killing Partner Over Internet Fraud Proceeds

Operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested 27-year-old Oluchi Nzemechi for stabbing her partner, Kelechi Nzemechi, to death over a dispute involving alleged internet fraud proceeds.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, the suspect was arrested after a thorough investigation revealed that she had stabbed her partner during a heated argument.

The suspect, a native of Uzoagba in Ikeduru, Imo State, confessed to the crime, admitting that her lover had lured her into internet fraud.

She alleged that the deceased had refused to give her a cut of 250 Million Rupiah obtained from a victim in Indonesia.

In a fit of rage, she used a kitchen knife to stab him, then attempted to cover her tracks by leaving a threatening note on the victim’s body.

The Police revealed that the suspect had been living with the victim since 2019 and had a child with him.

According to him, efforts are being made to recover the alleged 250 million Rupiah for possible return to the owner.
