Iwuanyanwu’s Demise, A Void To Be Felt Across Igboland, Nigeria, Says Uzodimma

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has condoled with the family of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohaneze Ndi’Igbo Worldwide, who passed away after a brief illness.

Uzodimma described Iwuanyanwu’s passing as a “void that will be profoundly felt across Imo State, Igbo land, and Nigeria at large.”

“I am deeply pained since learning of the passing of the revered elder statesman, Aha eji eje mba Ndi’Igbo, Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu CFR,” Uzodimma said in a statement.

He praised Iwuanyanwu as a “true nationalist whose contributions transcended ethnic boundaries” and noted that his tireless efforts towards national unity and peace were instrumental in ensuring the government’s efforts in the restoration of peace materialized.

Uzodimma also described Iwuanyanwu as a “guiding light in turbulent times, providing wisdom and expertise that were indispensable.”

He added that Iwuanyanwu’s dedication to the betterment of society and unwavering commitment to the Igbo cause has made Ndi Imo and the entire Igbo community immensely proud.

The Governor urged the people of Imo State to take comfort in the legacy of Chief Iwuanyanwu, which he said will continue to inspire and guide them in the quest for a peaceful and united Nigeria.

He prayed for the repose of Iwuanyanwu’s soul and asked God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the immense loss.

“May God grant his soul eternal rest and provide his family the fortitude to bear this immense loss,” Uzodimma concluded.
