The Akuchie family of Umuopara Umuodu Ihitte Mbieri, in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, has announced the funeral arrangements of their matriarch, Late (Mrs) Susanna Ulunma Akuchie (aka Akweke), nee Anusiem.
According to a statement signed on behalf of the family by Chidi Akuchie, one of the sons of the deceased, Late Mrs Akuchie passed away on March 2nd, 2024, after a brief illness at the age of 88.
According to the family, the funeral ceremony will take place on Friday, August 9th, 2024, with her remains leaving Chetakwa Mortuary, Akabo by 7am for her home in Umuopara Umuodu village, Ihitte Mbieri.
A lying-in-state ceremony will be held at her home, followed by a church service at 10am at Community Primary School, Umuodu Mbieri, conducted by the Holiness Evangelistic Church, Umudagu Ihitte Mbieri.
Interment will follow immediately after the church service at her late husband’s compound in Umuopara Ihitte Mbieri.
An outing and thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday, August 11, 2024, by 8am at Holiness Evangelistic Church, Umudagu Ihitte Mbieri.
Late Mrs Susanna Ulunma Akuchie is survived by 11 children, 52 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and a host of relatives.
The family has invited friends and well-wishers to join them in celebrating the life of their beloved matriarch.
