Owerri Municipal SOLAD Appoints Caretaker Committee For Umuihugba Umuodu Community

The Sole Administrator of Owerri Municipal Council, Hon. Chidiebere Emeribe, has dissolved the Umuihugba-Umuodu Autonomous Community Town Union Interim Management Committee with immediate effect.

The dissolved committee was led by Mr. Soronnadi Unegbu, and a new Caretaker Committee has been appointed to take over.

The Caretaker Committee, chaired by Mr. Osita Udemba, has six members, including Mr. Chibuzo Igwe as Secretary, Mr. Innocent Akunna, FCA, Mr. Ifeanyi Unegbu, Mr. George Ihebom, and Comrade Emeka Ozurumba.

According to a statement signed by Hon Kelechi Njemanze, Special Assistant to the Solad, the committee’s primary responsibility is to restore peace in the community and reconcile warring factions.

The Sole Administrator charged the committee to take immediate action, congratulating them on their appointment.

“The caretaker committee is charged with the responsibility of returning and maintaining peace in the community and bring reconciliation among al warrin factions” part of the statement stated.
